Who we are

This website is run by Howe Ceilings and Interiors Ltd ("HCI", "we"), a supply and fit ceilings, drylining and acoustics contractor registered in Scotland (company number SC339708), 80 Coxhill Street, Glasgow G21 1HL. What we collect

Download form: your name, company, role, phone number, email address and (if you give it) your project name.
Download activity: which documents you download from this site and when.
Technical data: your IP address and browser information, used by Cloudflare Turnstile to check the form is being filled in by a person rather than a bot. We do not store this.
A cookie (hci_lead) that remembers you have completed the form, so you are not asked again on the same device. It lasts 12 months and contains a random reference number, not your details.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To give you access to the documents you asked for (legitimate interests).
To contact you about your project: an email when you first download, and, where it is relevant, a follow-up from our team about pricing, design support or buildability. For business contacts we rely on our legitimate interest in offering our services to people working on construction projects. If you are a sole trader or using a personal email address, we rely on the agreement you give on the form. Every email we send lets you opt out.
Revision alerts (only if you tick the box): an email when the manufacturer issues a new version of a document you downloaded here (consent).
Technical updates (only if you tick the box): occasional emails, about four a year, on what has changed in the library (consent). You can withdraw either consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
To keep the site secure and free of spam (legitimate interests).

We do not sell your data or share it with manufacturers or other third parties for their own marketing.

Who processes it for us

Microsoft (Microsoft 365): your details and download history are stored in our Microsoft 365 system, which only authorised HCI staff can access, and our emails are sent through Microsoft.
Cloudflare: hosts this website, stores the documents and runs the bot check. Cloudflare passes form details straight to our Microsoft 365 system and does not keep them.

These providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, it is protected by the UK's adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. If you opt out, we delete your details but keep your email address on a suppression list so we do not contact you again.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it (including any direct marketing, which you can stop at any time), or to move it to another provider. Email info@howeceilings.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this notice. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
